Large federal agencies accumulate websites. A programme stands one up, a lab stands another up, a decade passes, and the result is an estate nobody can inventory, on platforms nobody agrees on, with security patching and accessibility obligations attached to every one of them.
Full-stack programmatic migration from a legacy network of Drupal, WordPress and SharePoint properties into seven consolidated, high-security hubs.
That meant custom Drupal modules for the destination platform, content-model transformations between three source systems that agreed on almost nothing, and cloud-native extraction routines on AWS to move large legacy datasets into the new architecture without a hand-migration pass.
An estate that had grown without a plan reduced to seven governed hubs — which is the difference between patching and accessibility being a programme and being an archaeology project.
